Hello Friend,
I don’t know if you’re feeling this acceleration of time and things too…
The world is going ’round really fast, but despite all of that, this is the best time of my life so far!
I turned 55 this week, and I absolutely love both the number and the age 😊 I consider myself rather young still – have you already heard me talk about my “Project 120+”?
Anyway, it’s such a shame that so many people find age, and ageing, disconcerting. I personally wouldn’t want to go back a single minute! My idea of this life is, that every new year should be your favourite time so far.
I’m not saying this lightly, let me explain:
Things that are out of our control do happen. So we would probably find it difficult to consider a year when we’ve lost a loved one, or when our home got flooded, or when an economic crisis shut us down, our favourite time so far.
What I’m talking about is how we feel when handling the things of life. I want us to have more and more mastery, and ease, and sovereignty, every single day, month, and year of our lives. To deal with everything with less drama, less pain, less worry, less fatigue, and to replace these with more freedom, more fun, more resilience, more joy.
If I think back to my youth, life was so hard-going then, because I didn’t have a clue about anything! Sure, my body was younger, no wrinkles, no reading glasses, no grey hair… But I’ll gladly take all of this as a negligible side effect of how much better I’ve become at life, and how much better I feel about everything!
When our physical performance starts to diminish, our mental, emotional, and spiritual one can definitely make up for what we’ve lost, and so much more! The way I see it, I’m much stronger today than I was 30 years ago, and much weaker than I will be 30 years from today.
I had a very funny – if it wasn’t very sad – sms exchange with a lady whose birthday is two days after mine. She sent me a ‘happy birthday’ message on my day, and I sent her one on hers, and I added “I turned 55, how old are you?” And she replied “I can’t believe it… I’m turning 50 today, how embarrassing!”
😂😂😂 Well if you’re embarrassed, what should I do, go and hide? 😂😂😂

Do you know what the greatest superpower for a masterful life is?
Forgiving.
That’s something we don’t usually understand very well when we’re small or young.
The other child breaks your toy, and the adults say that you have to forgive them! What? It’s broken! And I’m sad and angry!
And now these monster adults are making you even more angry. Horrible scenario.
People don’t often get to change their views about that, between that early memory and the latest offence. But forgiving is the absolute best thing you can do to make space for more love and beautiful things in your life.
You might want to forgive yourself or another person, no matter if they’re dead or alive. You might want to forgive your government, your school, your community, your club. No matter if you’re forgiving something big or small.
Forgiving doesn’t mean that you suddenly pretend something wrong hasn’t happened, nor that you try to forget about it. It means that you accept it as a thing of the past or the present, that has indeed happened, and that you still think is wrong, only that you now decide that it no longer has the power to keep you angry or suffering.
Whoever it is who wronged you, they don’t even need to know that you’ve forgiven them. It can be for you only if you want. In your own mind and heart, thank them for the experience, for the learning curve, for forcing you to become a more aware version of yourself, and move on.
Forgiving raises our brain waves and our overall vibration like nothing else does. Forgiving is indeed divine.
Forgive a little bit every day, I promise you’ll be much happier for it 💕
