Dear Friend,
it feels, at the moment, like our world is literally splitting into two separate worlds.
On one side, we have all the horrible stuff and all the people who live in fear of all that and feel hopeless, and on the other side, we have so, so much beauty and positivity and awareness, and all the people who are experiencing a very inspiring, hopeful time.
It looks like these two apparently incompatible realities are living side by side.
I’ve come to understand, over the last couple of decades, how deeply, unexpectedly true it is, that we create our own realities.
I’ve come to realise that more often than not, different people’s perceptions of one and the “same” reality can differ hugely. They might be living in the same place at the same time, interacting with the same people and maybe even sharing the same goals and hopes, and yet they will tell you completely different stories about that same place and time, those same people, and those same situations.
I’ve come to realise, and I’ve had to accept, that there is no objective truth about anything. Two people may be telling you two completely different versions of the same fact, and not because one of them is lying and the other one is telling the truth. They might both be completely honest, but their truths might diverge and seem incompatible.
Quantum physics confirms this, when it tells us that the observer influences the outcome of the observed event. Repeat the exact same event under observation from different people, and you’ll have different outcomes.
That’s obviously not what they teach us in school. We learn that everything is black or white, right or wrong, true or false.
So, while it’s true that we came into this physical life to have the experience of separation, me vs you, us vs them, particle vs wave, here vs there, past vs future, with every moment in time called a different name; it’s also true that this is not how the universe works.
This physical life, in particular, is a bit like a videogame, where we accept a set of rules and handicaps for the fun and the challenge of it, but it’s a fictional reality within the greater reality.
You know how it happens with any decent movie: we get so carried away by that reality and that story, that we identify with the characters, and we suffer and cry with them, we hope and fight with them, only to then wake up again to our own reality.
Now the thing is, that our reality is nothing but a meta movie, within which we also go to the cinema, amongst other things.
And here too, we tend to identify with our body, our mind, our past, our titles, our beliefs, and all sorts of things that make us suffer, cry, hope, and fight.
Or not. When we realise that we’re in a fiction, we can also decide to put it back in perspective. What movie do you want to play in, today? What character do you want to be? An evil king? A lonely princess? A happy family man? An adventurer? A villain, a saint, a nice guy, a fool, a nurturer, a destroyer, a creative, a party animal?
And more importantly, will you be a victim or a creator? Will your life be a tragedy or a comedy? An action movie, a romantic movie, a horror movie?
You are the observer, and thus the creator, of your reality. What do you expect to see?
And what do you want to see?
Do these two visions coincide, or are you dreaming of beautiful things, but actually expecting ugly tings?

The universe won’t necessarily give you what you want, but it will necessarily give you more of what you are.
So what are you? What are you a match to?
And also, are you aware of the fact, that often “want” is a synonym of “lack”? As in the expression “for want of”, which means “for lack of”.
Want may also feel like “need”.
So when you say you want something, you are implying, energetically, that you don’t have it. That’s the frequency of lack. And what will the universe respond to that with? More lack, of course.
But you can choose to embody the presence and the abundance, instead of the absence and the scarcity, of everything you desire.
I was chatting to a Hungarian friend yesterday, and she told me that in her language there’s an idiom that goes something like: a dog will poop where other dogs have already pooped 😄💩
In Italian, we have a slightly more poetic version of this, which goes: it always rains on wet ground 😄💦
There’s so much truth in that. The universe doesn’t judge whether dog poop or rain are good or bad at that particular moment. It will just reliably provide more of the same.
Be the wet ground that’s used to being rained upon, and will thus attract more rain. Or be the sunny ground that attracts more sun, or the happy ground that attracts more happiness, or the healthy ground that attracts more health.
You’re a magnet for more of what you are.
So please, Friend, be what you want to be ❤️
