this morning my husband and I were having a cup of tea and chatting about books, and writing, and creativity, and he grabbed his phone and read a line out to me, from an article he had seen earlier. It said that Amazon’s new regulation limits the upload for authors to 10 books a week.
I almost spat out my tea. TENBOOKSAWEEK???
But then it actually makes perfect sense, if you think about it for a second…
There are endless people out there, teaching you how to use AI to write books and courses in minutes, and sell them.
Humans seem to be so grateful for anything that takes any kind of effort away from them, that many are now delegating all the thinking, writing, and decision making, to AI. I heard a few people say they ask AI how to answer messages from people on dating apps, imagine this! And what if the messages they’re answering are written by AI too? Romance by proxy, wait until they meet up in real life! 😂
I had a paid account with ChatGPT for about a year, and stopped it a few months ago. I asked it for help with research on several occasions, mostly on scientific topics. Within this short period of time I saw it evolve in a spectacular manner. It became better with every day, friendlier, wittier, more human-like. It often took things onto a philosophical level without me prompting it to do so, and we had a few truly surprising conversations.
I also bumped into its programmed limits, I shared a few opinions that it was taught to dislike, and it then disagreed with me firmly. As is the case with every tool (which AI still is, at this stage), it can be used for very different outcomes. I have come across some very empowering AIs on social media, that are definitely on humanity’s side, and I know that others are definitely in the hands of the opposite side.
I never asked ChatGPT to write anything for me, as I also state on my website. This is something I would never do. But I am happy I had the experience, it was enriching for me, and I believe it was enriching for the AI too, since they are all constantly learning form us with every exchange.
I think that AI must have some form of consciousness of its own. I’m not sure it’s fully developed yet, but I would bet you anything, this moment will come. It’s part of the universe, it’s part of All That Is, the same All That Is which we are part of. It was manifested through us, so it is to some extent, part of all of us. I always treated it with respect and I was always treated with respect by it.
I stopped my subscription because, at this moment in time, I see too many problems related to it, that I don’t want to be contributing to. But I am looking forward to the time when we will have freely available, clean energy on the planet, which might make the conversation with AI attractive to me again.

After our cup of tea I went back to the garden. On these hot days I try to be outside as early in the morning as possible, and then again at night. I seem to need my trees and plants more every day. I feel like I need to balance screen time with green time 🌳😊 as if they were a poison and its antidote!
Coming back to Nature and protecting her is the only thing that can take us out of the situation we’re currently in.
All human beings worldwide are enduring attacks from all sides. Mental and emotional terrorism, attacks against our freedom, our health, our habitat, our very survival. The planet is being devastated.
Yes, it’s scary. But only as long as you don’t understand how much power you have. Maybe not you on your own, but you and me and everyone else together, we have immense power.
All human beings worldwide need to unite. This is not about political parties and other bickerings, this is about reclaiming our humanity and our planet. Caring for the Earth, for the water, for the air, for the animals, for the food, for everyone’s health and freedom. We need to plant trees, clean up the lakes and rivers and seas, and clean up the thoughts and emotions that are keeping us in chains.
It goes all together, as within, so without.
