We’re one week into my favourite month of the year đĨ°. Here in Central and Southern Europe, September still has all the beauty of summer, plus the enchantment of perfect temperatures, magical light, and a dreamy feel to it. Nature seems to be smiling at us right now… I hope you’re enjoying this time as much as I am! đЎ

I find plants incredibly soothing. Since I was a child, I was able to reset my mood completely, no matter how angry or sad or scared I was, by just looking at any plant, even a small, potted one, at home.Â
I was often angry and often sad as a child living in a dysfunctional family. And then I got also acquainted with fear. When I was ten, there was a disastrous earthquake in Naples and the surrounding region, with thousands of homes and other buildings destroyed, whole villages flattened, many people dead and injured, and the whole population in shock.
These were traumatic things that often made me wonder who invented this horrible thing called life and why I had to be in it. But as far back as I can remember, plants, and especially flowers, always had the power to bring me back to my centre, to reset my nervous system.
Sometimes, when I was worried or scared sleepless at night, I would imagine that I was leaving my bed and going to sleep inside a rose, like a bee. That used to make me feel safe and happy, and I would fall asleep immediately.Â

What I was doing back then was a purely intuitive form of energetic grounding. Nowadays I know a lot more about that, and I have many different ways and techniques that I practise and teach others.
What I see people need the most help with at the moment is, soothing their nervous system. This is a rather challenging moment in history, where many people are immersed in stressful, scary realities. Images of uncertainty, of obscure threats, of doom, are being projected onto our mental screens, and into our personal and collective consciousness from every direction.
There’s also a lot of uplifting, positive, and hopeful stuff going on in the world, but the ones who push the ugly stuff tend to have better PR.
If you ask me, the scary realities that many people see as a certain future, are only one of many possibilities.
Could they happen?Â
Of course they could!Â
Must they happen?Â
No, not at all!
Will they happen?
That’s up to us.
There are realities in which we are grounded, as in, being punished by being kept indoors, as happened with with the pandemic. I sense that the next fake excuse for imprisoning us will be CO2.
There are realities in which it’s us keeping ourselves grounded, as in, not daring to take flight. That happens when we doubt and judge ourselves, when we withhold our gifts from the rest of humanity.
And then there’s a reality available to all of us in which we are grounded, as in, connected to Earth and her electromagnetic field.
The point I want to make here is, that when we are grounded, or earthed, when we’re not separated, pinched off, of our planet’s energy field, we are in our full mental, physical, and spiritual power. And in that space, nothing can mess with us.
So how do we get grounded?
đ By being out in nature. The best thing we can do is walk or even stand barefoot on natural ground. The artificial rubber that lines most of our shoes interrupts the flow of electricity from the planet into us, and back into the planet. The building materials our cities and homes are made of, the furniture, most of what surrounds us every day, separates us from Earth’s energy. When we walk on natural ground without our shoes, when we lie on the grass or the sand, when we bathe in any natural water, we are getting powerfully grounded.
In those cultures that haven’t lost their wisdom, when someone gets ill, they dig a comfortable pit in the ground, lie the sick person in it, cover their body up to their shoulders in soil, and stay by their side until they are healed and get up.
đ By gardening and spending peaceful time with animals.
đ By getting away from the blue light of our devices, and exposing ourselves to the light of the sun and of natural flames. By drinking natural water, by eating food that’s alive, freshly cut fruits and vegetables; nuts and seeds and grains and pulses that would germinate if put in the soil.
đ By creating, dancing, singing, serving, loving
đ By breathing, meditating, appreciating
When our personal reality has these things in it, it becomes a lot less permeable to other realities that we wouldn’t deliberately choose.
No better moment than September to start a new routine, a new lifestyle, new habits for a happier reality.
